Being Strong Does Not Mean You Are Emotionally Healed | Season 2 Episode 67

 
 

Just because we are strong doesn’t mean we are healed. 

Do people think you have it all together because they perceive you as strong? 

How many times have people told you how strong you are or how normal you seem after they know about your hard childhood? We aren’t as strong as you think. We have had to be strong to survive. 

There is a difference.

When hard things happened to me over the years, I kept going. I survived. And in that time, I built up a wall of strength that people saw as brave. 

When we learn to regulate our emotions, we can let down our guard and not have to stand strong. 

Trust plays into this too. 

We are always a work in progress. Good for you for learning to survive through strength until now.
